Live Kernel Event Error 142: I checked reliability monitor because my programs have been crashing a lot. I found that it said LiveKernelEvent Code: 142. It says «a problem with your hardware caused windows to stop working correctly. What is the 142 error? I’ve been searching everywhere and haven’t been.

I have not seen this problem posted on any of the forums regarding installing the game. I just purchased the premium edition and upon clicking Setup.exe, I receive the following error referencing IE8.

Are you using an account that ha administrator privileges and also temporarily disabling antivirus while installing the game .

Have you tried copying all files from the DVD`s to your hard drive and then running the setup exe from the copied folder .
yeah the forums went offline 4 days before the game released. bad move in my opinion. buuut if all goes according to plan they should be back up sometime next week .

Thanks tommy for reading and replying. Yes, I have tried this option. Same result. Is the launcher trying to intiate a session with IE and failing, thus causing the error? Weird stuff.

If you have add-ons enabled in IE8 try disabling them as well as setting all settings in IE8 to the default levels . Might also be an issue with the MSI Installer

Eos Nomad 2.3.2 Install Shield error on Windows 10
I keep having install shield error issues when installing Nomad 2.3.2.9.0.45 on my laptop and desktop pc both running Windows 10.
I have already tried disabling my anti virus software and disabling my User Account Control Settings which did not help.
I have successfully been able to install it on two other laptops that are running Windows 7 and Windows 8. In these instances, I didn’t need to make any changes to my PC settings or disable any anti virus software.
Update- I didn’t see an option for moving this post over the Eos 2.3.2 feedback section so I have gone and reposted it there as well.
Have you tried running it with full administrator privilieges? Windows 7 and 8 you can just right click and choose to run as an administrator. I believe this is still there in Windows 10. Here is a link that shows what that might look like on a windows 10 system. Scroll down to option 2 to see the right click method. You should just have to browse to it through file explorer and then right click it and choose to run as administrator.

If you have not yet tried that, see if that resolves the issue.
I just tried this on both my laptops and I still see the same error message.
So much for the easy answer. Will investigate the issue. I don’t suppose you could get a screen capture of the error screen with details expanded?
So I got my Windows 10 Pro x64 VM spun up and tried the ETCnomad_Eos_PC_v2.3.2.9.0.45 installer on there. It installed ok for me :/
Perhaps try downloading the installer again in case it got corrupted?
I have tried all of the above things on Nomad 2.5.1 and continue to have the same error. Was a solution found?

ПОСЛЕ УСТАНОВКИ ИГРЫ :
В папке Crack (находится на диске с игрой) лежит генератор ключей (кейген) – копируем ключик, продолжаем установку игры.
После того, как игра установится НЕ ЗАПУСКАЕМ ее, а идем все в ту же папку Crack, берем оттуда ВСЕ СОДЕРЖИМОЕ и копируем в папку:
Program Files? Electronic Arts? The Sims 3? Game? Bin, выскочит предупреждение, что такой файл уже есть- соглашаемся на замену. (Т. е. берем содержимое из директории СКАЧАННОЙ ИГРЫ и переносим в директорию УСТАНОВЛЕННОЙ игры, в диалоговом окне появляется запрос о замене — соглашаемся! )
При запуске игры (Sims 3 запускается через ланчер ( Sims 3 Launcher) игра не должна иметь доступа к интернету. Перекрыть ей доступ можно через отключение модема ( я банально выдернула модем из розетки) .
При запуске ланчера нажимаем большую кнопку слева и наслаждаемся Симс 3.
Для более одаренных :
ЕСЛИ SIMS 3 НЕ ЗАПУСКАЮТСЯ:
98% что вы просто что-то сделали не так.
— Если у вас проблемы с лицензионной версией – свяжитесь с техподдержкой Sims 3.
— не забудьте произвести замену
— перезагрузите компьютер (еще раз)
— переустановите драйвера на видеокарту
— поставьте самую последнюю версию DirectX
— воспользуйтесь поиском по сайту и по форуму: возможна ваша проблема уже обсуждалась
