Java all old version

The JDK is a development environment for building applications using the Java programming language.

The JDK includes tools useful for developing and testing programs written in the Java programming language and running on the Java TM platform.

Important Oracle JDK License Update

The Oracle JDK License has changed for releases starting April 16, 2019.

The new Oracle Technology Network License Agreement for Oracle Java SE is substantially different from prior Oracle JDK licenses. The new license permits certain uses, such as personal use and development use, at no cost — but other uses authorized under prior Oracle JDK licenses may no longer be available. Please review the terms carefully before downloading and using this product. An FAQ is available here.

Commercial license and support is available with a low cost Java SE Subscription.

Oracle also provides the latest OpenJDK release under the open source GPL License at jdk.java.net.

WARNING: These older versions of the JRE and JDK are provided to help developers debug issues in older systems. They are not updated with the latest security patches and are not recommended for use in production.

These Java SE 8 update releases are provided under the Java SE OTN License.
Java SE 8u202 and older updates are available, under the Binary Code License (“BCL”).

For production use Oracle recommends downloading the latest JDK and JRE versions and allowing auto-update.

Only developers and Enterprise administrators should download these releases.

Downloading these releases requires an oracle.com account. If you don’t have an oracle.com account you can use the links on the top of this page to learn more about it and register for one for free.

The Java Cryptography Extension enables applications to use stronger versions of cryptographic algorithms. JDK 9 and later offer the stronger cryptographic algorithms by default.

The unlimited policy files are required only for JDK 8, 7, and 6 updates earlier than 8u161, 7u171, and 6u181. On those versions and later, the stronger cryptographic algorithms are available by default.

The Java Runtime Environment (also known as the Java Runtime or JRE) consists of the Java Virtual Machine, the Java Core Classes, and supporting files. It is the runtime part of the Java Runtime without compiler, debugger, or tools. The Java Runtime Environment is the smallest set of executables and files that constitute the standard Java Platform.

The Java for Windows

The Windows version of the JRE is packaged so that it can be downloaded and installed by end-users, for use with third-party applications that aren’t packaged with their own copy of the JRE. The Windows Java Runtime Environment is available in two versions; with or without support for locales other than US English. After choosing the Windows version, you will be presented with an option to download either the Java Runtime Environment with support for locales other than US English or without. The JDK comes with a minimal set of tools. Serious developers are advised to use a professional Integrated Development Environment with JDK.

The Java for Solaris and Linux

The SPARC and x86 Solaris versions of the JRE do not include an end-user installation program. They are targeted primarily for developers who will be bundling the JRE with their applications for re-distribution. The Solaris version of the JRE does include support for locales other than US English.
